Skin Needling

Overview

Microneedling is a minimally invasive treatment that uses fine needles to create controlled micro-channels in the skin, designed to support your skin's natural repair response.

SkinPen is suitable for a wide range of skin types and concerns — assessed at consultation. It is commonly considered for uneven texture, early signs of ageing, and certain types of scarring.

About SkinPen

SkinPen creates precise micro-channels that are designed to support your skin's natural repair and renewal response, without heat or chemicals. It is included in the Australian Register of Therapeutic Goods (ARTG).

Microneedling is typically performed as a course, with benefits building over the weeks and months following treatment as the skin's natural remodelling processes are supported. Most clients return to normal activities within 24 hours.

The Process

What to Expect

01

Inflammation

The micro-channels trigger your immune response, increasing blood flow and beginning the creation of new tissue.

02

Proliferation

Your skin rebuilds with new granulation cells containing collagen, strengthening and rejuvenating the treated area.

03

Remodelling

The wound is replaced with new dermal tissues rich in collagen and elastin, revealing smoother, firmer skin over the following months.

A course of several treatments spaced a few weeks apart is typical. Your nurse will recommend the right number at consultation based on your skin goals.

A topical numbing cream is applied before treatment. Most clients describe the sensation as mild, though individual experience varies.

Initial change is often visible within days. The skin's remodelling continues for months after a treatment, so results build progressively.
